Away From Robbed in Mafia Wars

Will you ever make it so I can change my class type? I'm tired of being a mogul!

No promises just yet, but we are looking at possible adjustments to the class system. Ideally, we want to give each class something that appeals to everyone. Additionally, since it’s difficult for new players to gauge which class is best when first starting the game, we may also give players the option to select their class after reaching a certain level.

If we do end up making major changes to the class system, it’s likely that we’ll provide players with some way to select the class that most appeals to them."



Now, this would be a much appreciated feature for many Mafia Wars players. I know there are plenty of Moguls out there who wish they could change.


In other news, I've updated the job mastery section. Turns out the mastery items officially have no purpose other than to be a loot piece with good stats.

How to not get robbed in Mafia Wars

Tips on how not to get robbed:

01. Win a lot of fights.

The best defense is a good offense. During robbing or attack a player can't actually see your defense rating,weapons number, a high level of defense does little to deter attacks.You can only see a few statistics - number of mafia members, whether the property is protected, and the profile stats (such as fights won and lost) of the person you are trying to rob. What they can see however, is your win to loss ratio on fights.


02. Levelling Up!

It is not necessary to leveling up to put more points in defense or get more mafia members. Getting out of the low levels early is important for property health - players at higher levels do not rob as often, if at all. Why? Because it is not worth the stamina. Fighting yields more experience and has a chance to drop the best weapons (AR-15s), vehicles (Humvees), and job items (like blackmail photos) that the high level players need.

The 650,000-750,000$ that is standard for robbing a casino pales in comparison to the amount of cash the "Boss" jobs produce. High level players do jobs for money rather than rob. On that note, if you are power leveling, you may find it hard to keep your mafia size equal to your level. The solution is simple - if you can't keep your mafia size equal to your level, just don't buy property (aside from Mafia Mike's) until you are around level 200. Players around level 20-80 rob much more frequently then high level players.


03. Make sure your mafia is equipped.

Mafia members are only as strong as the weapons and armor you give them. Be sure every mafia member has a decent weapon, armor, and vehicle to use.


04.Collect The best Weapon

What is the best weapon in Mafia Wars?

In Mafia Wars, not including reward points weapons, the TNT is the best weapon for attacking, and the Gaff Hook is the best weapon for defending. TNT is dropped from the "Raid the Arms Depot" job and the Gaff Hook is dropped from the "Pillage a Shipyard" job. If you are going by combined stats, TNT has the highest at 62.



TNT (+62) Cuban Weapon found in the job 'Raid The Arms Depot'

TNT - 42 Attack, 20 defense - drops from the "Raid the Arms Depot" job in the El Padrino tier.

Vehicle:

Armored State Car (+68) Cuban Vehicle found in the job 'Storm The Presidential Palacet'



And

Hu-9 Helicopter - 36 attack, 27 defense - drops from the "Attack the Army Command Post" job in the El Padrino tier.

Armor:

Guerrilla Squad (+64) Cuban Armor found in the job 'Supply The FRG With Some Extra Muscle'

Guerrilla Squad - 30 attack, 34 defense - drops from the "Supply the FRG with Some Extra Muscle" job in the El Padrino tier.

05. Don't rob other players.

No need to rob more. As the people must get revenge by adding ur name on the hitlist or by asking his high level players friend.

06. Mafia Family must be at least the relevant of your level.

The amount of mafia members that can "help out" is equal to your level. So, if you don't want to get robbed and are level 99, you should have at least 99 people in your mafia. Otherwise having small mafia members, you must be a big target of all level.


07. Protect your property.

If you never have to pay for repairs, you'll save a lot of money!
Protecting property is not as expensive as you might think - it only needs to be done once if you never get robbed! If you followed steps 1-5 and protect your property, the your odds of getting robbed are slim-to-none.

08. Avoid to put people on the hitlist.

Never put someone on the hitlist. Not only the person you put a hit out on rob you repeatedly, but also his will friends attack you. When someone posts a hit, their name is shown on the hitlist as well. Some bored higher level players get entertainment out of robbing and attacking people who put out hits rather than attacking for the reward money!

Warnings

• Don't fight the same person too often. You might incite "cyber rage" if you do, or find yourself on the Hitlist often.
• Don't waste too many skill points increasing your Health. As you reach higher levels, you can always pay the Hospital to restore your health fully, and it is easier to make money than raise stats anyway.
• You can buy Godfather points with PayPal, but beware they can be expensive. It may be better for your budget to simply limit your game play (i.e. 30 minutes per day)
• Don't become too addicted to this game. It's free to play if you are reasonable (or really good), but if you develop an addiction and find yourself buying Godfather points constantly, it can get very expensive.
